Multi Stage Sidemount Workshop is a specialized workshop designed for divers already using an XR Sidemount configuration. The program focuses on diving with five or six cylinders, covering equipment configuration, equipment organization, gas management, and procedures required for operating in extended multi-cylinder setups.
The workshop prepares divers for more demanding technical, trimix, exploration, and cave diving activities, where efficient management of multiple cylinders becomes a critical skill.
Who is this course for
- * Technical divers using a sidemount configuration
- * Graduates of the Extended Range Sidemount course or an equivalent program
- * Divers with experience diving with three or four cylinders
- * Divers preparing for more advanced trimix, exploration, or cave diving activities
- * Divers looking to refine equipment organization and procedures in complex multi-cylinder configurations
- * Divers planning dives requiring the use of five or six cylinders
- This workshop is not intended for divers who are new to sidemount or who have no experience using additional stage cylinders. Participants should be comfortable operating in configurations involving at least three or four cylinders during a dive.
What you will learn
- * Configuration and optimization of a sidemount setup with five or six cylinders
- * Proper placement and organization of multiple stage cylinders
- * Gas management in multi-cylinder diving configurations
- * Correct gas switch procedures
- * Hose management and routing after gas switches
- * Improved buoyancy control, trim, and propulsion techniques while diving with multiple cylinders
- * Problem-solving and emergency procedures in multi-cylinder configurations
- * Organization of equipment setups used in technical, trimix, and cave diving
How we work
The workshop is conducted according to the Sidemount Precision Protocol methodology, built on precision, procedures, and the conscious development of diving skills. Special attention is given to the proper configuration of five- and six-cylinder setups, equipment organization, and efficient gas management throughout the dive.
New procedures are first practiced on land before being transferred into the water. Throughout the workshop, we use video analysis to evaluate equipment configuration, technique, and procedural execution in detail. This allows participants to receive precise feedback and refine their skills in a structured and safe manner.
Course schedule
The workshop is conducted over two intensive full training days, from morning until evening. The program focuses on equipment configuration, procedures, gas management, and the development of skills required for diving in configurations involving five or six cylinders.
